ECM Plus +++ Kofax has just entered into a new technology alliance with Alfresco, the open source enterprise content management software house.
According to the companies, Kofax’s capture enabled BPM solutions capture and streamline the flow of business critical information throughout an organization in a more accurate, timely and cost effective manner, enabling customers to be more responsive to their constituents, gain competitive advantage and better grow their businesses.
Alfresco offers open source alternative to traditional proprietary ECM systems. The technology alliance will offer joint customers the opportunity to benefit from a complete information management platform that delivers better information quality, greater efficiency, reduced costs and a stronger competitive advantage across the enterprise for a lower total cost of ownership.
“Kofax and Alfresco have numerous mutual customers eager to increase the ROI from their existing infrastructures by leveraging the ability to capture data and documents from any source, transform it into actionable information and share it across the organization in an organized, protected and cost-effective manner,” said John Powell, Chief Executive Officer at Alfresco.
“By using an integrated Kofax-Alfresco platform, customers can benefit from the improved productivity and efficiency provided by capture enabled BPM, coupled with the simplicity of open source ECM,” said Jim Vickers, Senior Vice President, OEM and Partner Strategy at Kofax.
