Paperless office? Until the power goes off...

Invu minimises administration time as part of a £62 million new build project

ECM Plus – Cornwallis Academy has implemented a new Invu Document Management system to replace its existing manual filing procedures and also to store hundreds of student records,

According to the school their personnel, finance and payroll documents are being moved over, a process they hope will cut weeks of administrative time each year.

The deployment is a 50 licences Invu Document Management Workflow system, rolled out as part of a £62 million joint new build project, through which the opportunity to rationalise how information is held, accessed and used became available.

Cornwallis Academy is a part of the Future Schools Trust, which operates two academies located within the Maidstone borough, with 2,680 pupils aged eleven to eighteen years.

Charles Ealham, Director of New Technologies said: “We aimed to remove the 60 filing cabinets spread throughout the two sites. Storage space at the new site was limited to reduce new build costs so going paperless was an obvious choice, especially in departments where document levels were acute.”
