Control meets governance in new alliance

Firms collaborate for automate GRC processes

By ECM Plus staff

ECM Plus +++ Enterprise governance, risk and compliance specialist MEGA has just teamed up with continuous controls monitoring and audit bellwether Approva to market a new optimised GRC offering.

According to the duo, the new approach enables firms to use Approva to monitor and test controls for core financial applications and to then publish that control evidence and associated contextual information in the MEGA Suite.

With the new, bonded GRC approach, the MEGA Suite portion provides enterprise-grade governance, risk and compliance (GRC) capabilities, while the Approva One portion automates IT and financial controls for major applications used by companies to run business.

“The partnership between MEGA and Approva will help organizations manage their overall compliance costs while providing a more comprehensive and holistic enterprise-wide business governance solution” commented MEGA CEO Lucio de Risi.

The alliance said it would now be able to design, test, monitor and manage GRC information for financial and IT operational controls, as well as access dynamic decision support capabilities that go beyond financial controls management.

It will also, they claim, reduce risk and lower overall compliance costs while strengthening the controls environment.
