ECM Plus +++ Sitecore has just taken the wraps off a new online marketplace of on-demand applications, services, and integration developed for its so-called ‘Customer Engagement Platform’.

According to the Danish-based firm, their new App Centre claims to add value to web content management and digital marketing initiatives with pre-integrated apps.

The pluggable cloud applications will, Sitecore said, include email marketing, social media monitoring, Windows Azure hosting, search engine optimisation, translation and qeb compliance.

“With the Sitecore App Centre we are changing the perception of how applications are used – by dramatically reducing the time and costs associated with building a customised campaign or programme” commented Darren Guarnaccia, senior vice president of product marketing for Sitecore. “In a real-time environment organisations do not have the luxury of waiting months to research and purchase applications. The App Centre offers more control over their programs for deeper customer engagement and increased ROI.”

Via the Sitecore App Centre, applications can be enabled with for campaigns and claims also to reduce development and deployment time for adding applications.
