By ECM Plus staff

ECM Plus +++ Content management bellwether EPiServer has just launched its new EPiServer Connect for SharePoint product, in what the company claims as being the first add-on of its kind integrating SharePoint 2013, 2010 and/or 2007 with EPiServer 7 CMS.

EpiServer said the new version enables business users to bring their SharePoint assets to the web with EPiServer Connect for SharePoint also helping marketers to use SharePoint enterprise content management and to convert internal collaboration into online marketing results, EpiServer said.

The company added that marketers can achieve maximum impact by managing content seamlessly across screens and channels using EPiServer 7 CMS.

EPiServer Connect for SharePoint can also be used to publish automatically from their SharePoint collaboration platform and have content shared via social channels. The standard connector, which allows users to edit SharePoint content in EPiServer or SharePoint, enables effective utilisation of the information already embedded within SharePoint and ensures that EPiServer 7 CMS provides an impactful online customer experience. By serving the right content to the right people in the right context, customers are receiving a consistent experience across touch points and marketers are experiencing increased engagement and improved results.

“As today’s publishing environment becomes increasingly collaborative, we understand that providing our customers with the ability to optimise efficiency while improving results should be a top priority,” said Bob Egner, VP of Product Management at EPiServer. “With EPiServer Connect for SharePoint, we’re embracing the collaborative environment while also creating an opportunity for marketers and communications managers to provide a better user experience for their customers.”

In addition to publishing collaborative assets, EPiServer Connect for SharePoint will allow users to gain valuable insight into how their SharePoint content is performing through A/B and multivariate testing, so that they can continuously improve results. With the ability to see real-time analytics, marketers can use this information to optimise the content instantly, increasing traffic and conversion rates as well as the effectiveness of personalisation and social sharing strategies.
